Inventors: Hyung-Kil Park, Gyeonggi-do (KR); and Min-Hwan Seo, Gyeonggi-do (KR)

Assignee: Samsung Electronics, Co., Ltd.

Description: Samsung has come up with a mobile device which tracks the movements of a user’s eyes for operation of the mobile device. Depending on the length of time and/or the movement of one or both eyes, the mobile device will perform a specific operation. Types of operations included can be but are not limited to: selection, drag-and-drop, zooming, and scrolling.

The advancements in mobile devices have increased significantly over the past couple of decades. If one remembers, mobile devices only had softkeys for operation and now touchscreens. Moving forward from touchscreens, the use of virtual or holographic images used to manipulate and operate mobile devices. Now it seems the gestures we as users were getting used to will now include eye movements.
